Great! One other thing you should know is that sometimes Japanese used in print will look a little different than the way it is written by hand.
For example, when you see the hiragana character き (pronounced ki) in print, it often looks like the bottom curve is connected, but when you write it by hand, it's supposed to be written as a separate stroke.
