Great! One other thing you should know is that sometimes Japanese used in print will look a little different than the way it is written by hand.

For example, when you see the hiragana character (pronounced ki) in print, it often looks like the bottom curve is connected, but when you write it by hand, it's supposed to be written as a separate stroke.
